ഭാഗം – 1
തലയിൽ ഒരു തോർത്തും ചുറ്റി കയ്യിൽ ഒരു ബക്കറ്റും പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് റിൻഷി ബാത്റൂമിൽ നിന്ന് ഇറങ്ങി. വീടിന്റെ പിന്നാമ്പുറത്തൂടെ ചെന്ന് സൈഡിലായുള്ള അയയിൽ അലക്കിയ ഡ്രെസ്സെല്ലാം വിരിച്ചിട്ട് ബക്കറ്റിൽ ബാക്കി വന്ന വെള്ളം ചെറുതായിട്ട് മുളച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയ വേപ്പ് മരത്തിന്റെ താഴെ തൂത്തുകൊണ്ട് ഒരു മൂളിപ്പാട്ടും പാടി അവൾ നേരെ അടുക്കളഭാഗത്തേക്ക് പോയി.
“ഉമ്മാ…!” എന്ന് നീട്ടിയുള്ള വിളിയുടെ അകമ്പടിയോടെ കിച്ചനിലേക്ക് കയറി, ഒപ്പം തലയിലിരുന്ന തോർത്തു എടുത്ത് വാതിൽപടിയിൽ നിന്നുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ മുടി ഒന്നൂടെ തൂവർത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.
“റിനു നിന്നോട് എത്ര പ്രാവിശ്യം പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട് ഈ അടുക്കളയിൽ വന്നു ഇങ്ങനെ മുടി തോർത്തരുതെന്ന്. ഈ ഭക്ഷണത്തിലൊക്കെ ആ മുടി വീഴും. മലയാളം പറഞ്ഞാൽ എന്താ അനക്ക് മനസ്സിലാവൂലെ?”
“ഇല്ല ഇങ്ങൾ ഇംഗ്ലീഷിൽ പറയി. ..അല്ലെങ്കിൽ വേണ്ട തമിൽ സൊള്ളുങ്കോ!! എന്താന്നറീല മലയാളം ഇപ്പൊ തീരെ അങ്ങട്ട് വർക്ഔട് ആവുന്നില്ല.”
“നിന്ന് തർക്കുത്തരം പറയാതെ പോയ് അന്റെ പണി നോക്ക്. അല്ലെങ്കിലും ഞാൻ അല്ലല്ലോ ഇയ്യാണല്ലോ എന്റെ ഉമ്മ. വേറൊരു വീട്ടിൽ ചെന്ന് കേറുമ്പോ അങ്ങ് പഠിച്ചോളും.”
ആഹ്…ദാ കെടക്കണ് ചട്ടീം കലോം! ഉമ്മാന്റെ സ്ഥിരം ഡയലോഗ്.
“എന്റെ പൊന്നാര ഉമ്മാ. …ഈ ഡയലോഗ് ഒക്കെ ഞാൻ കുറെ കേട്ടതാ. അതോണ്ട് പുതിയത് എന്തെങ്കിലും ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ഇറക്കി. ഇത് ഒരു രസല്ല”.
“ദേ പെണ്ണേ… മിണ്ടാണ്ട് പൊയ്ക്കോ ഇയ്യ് അവ്ട്ന്ന് അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ന്റെ കയ്യിന്റെ ചൂട് ഇയ്യ് അറിയും” എന്നും പറഞ് ഉമ്മ കയ്യിലുള്ള ചുട്ടോണ്ടിരുന്ന ദോശ തവി എടുത്തു കാണിച്ചു. റിനു ഒരടി പുറകിലേക്ക് നീങ്ങി കൊണ്ട് പെണ്ണിൻറെ ആൾടൈം ഡയലോഗ് അങ്ങ് കാച്ചി.
“Still i love u..!”
എന്നും പറഞ് പെണ്ണ് വായുവിലൂടെ ഉമ്മാന്റെ നേർക്ക് ഒരു ഉമ്മയും പറത്തിവിട്ടു.
“ഉമ്മാ…!”
ദേ അടുത്ത വിളി. അത് നമ്മളെ കാക്കു ആണേ…റിഷാദ് എന്ന റിച്ചു, ആൾ ഒരു it companyil വർക്ക് ചെയ്യുന്നു. അതികം വൈകാതെ തന്നെ ചെക്കനെ പിടിച്ചൊന്ന് പെണ്ണ് കെട്ടിച് അങ്ങ് ദുഫായ്ലേക്ക് മ്മളെ വാപ്പിന്റടുത്തേക്ക് പറഞ്ഞയക്കാനുള്ള ഒരു പ്ലാൻ ഇല്ലാതില്ല!
“അല്ല ഉമ്മാ ഇന്ന് മഴ വല്ലോം പെയ്തോ രാവിലെ? “
“ഇല്ല…!”
റിച്ചുന്റെ ചോദ്യത്തിന് റിനു ആണ് മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞത്.
“ഇല്ലേ…പിന്നെന്താ ഇടി വെട്ടിയോ!?”
“എന്താടാ നിനക്ക് ഉള്ള വെളിവും പോയോ?” ഇപ്പ്രാവശ്യം ഉമ്മാന്റതാണ് മറുപടി.
“ഏയ്യ്…എന്നാലും അങ്ങനെ വരാൻ വഴിഇല്ലല്ലോ!” അതും പറഞ് അവൻ ജനലിലൂടെ പുറത്തേക്ക് നോക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.
അവൻ നോക്കുന്നത് കണ്ട് റിനും ഉമ്മയും കൂടെ പുറത്തേക്ക് നോക്കി.
“എന്താ കാക്കു..!”
റിനു വീണ്ടും ചോദിച്ചു.
“അല്ലേയ്…!കാണാത്ത കാഴ്ചകളൊക്കെ ഇന്ന് നേരം വെളുത്തപ്പോ തന്നെ കണ്ടപ്പോ മഴപെയ്തൊ, കാക്ക മലർന്ന് പറക്കുന്നുണ്ടൊന്നൊക്കെ നോക്കിയതാ”.
ഇപ്രാവിശ്യം ഉമ്മാക്ക് കാര്യം പിടികിട്ടി, ഉമ്മ റിനുനെ നോക്കിയൊന്ന് ചിരിച്ചു.
“എന്താപ്പോ ഇത് വരെ ഇവിടത്തെ കാണാത്ത കാഴ്ച”.
“ഇന്ന് എന്റെ പെങ്ങൾ കുളിച്ചെടി,അതാ…!”
“ഓ…!ആണോ…ഞഞ്ഞായി”
റിനു ചെക്കനെ കൊഞ്ഞനം കുത്തി കാണിച്ചു.
“ഞങ്ങൾ ആണ്ടിലും കൊല്ലത്തിലും കാണുന്ന കാര്യം ആണ് അത്. അതോണ്ട് അന്നേദിവസം വല്ലതും സംഭവിക്കാൻ ചാൻസ് ഉണ്ട്, അല്ലെ ഉമ്മാ..!”
അതും പറഞ് റിച്ചു നേരെ പോയി ഒരു പ്ലേറ്റ് എടുത്ത് ഉമ്മ ദോശ ചുടുന്നിടത്തു സ്ലാബിൽ ഇരുന്നു.
അവൻ ചോദിച്ചതിന് ഉമ്മ റിനുനെ നോക്കിയൊന്ന് ആക്കി ചിരിച്ചു.
“ഓ…കോമഡിയാണോ ഉദേശിച്ചേ!ചിരിക്കണോ ഞാൻ, ഹി…ഹി…ഹി
ഒരു ഓഞ്ഞ കോമഡിയും അത് കേട്ട് ചിരിക്കാൻ ഒരാളും… ഹും!!”
അതും പറഞ് ചവിട്ടിതുള്ളിക്കൊണ്ട് റിനു നേരെ ഉള്ളിലേക്ക് പോയി.
ഇനിയും അവിടെ നിന്നാൽ ചെലപ്പോ റിച്ചു പെണ്ണിനെ അങ്ങ് തേചൊട്ടിക്കും. സംഭവം പെണ്ണിന് കുളി അലർജി ആണ്. ചില അത്യാവശ്യ ഘട്ടങ്ങളിൽ മാത്രമേ തല നനച്ചു തേചുരച്ചു ഒന്ന് കുളിക്കാറുള്ളു…അതന്നെ അവളുടെ കണക്കിൽ ധാരളാണ്! കുളിക്കില്ലെങ്കിലും പെർഫ്യൂം, ഓയിൽ മസ്സാജ് ഒക്കെ വെച്ച് അഡ്ജസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യുട്ടോ. വൃത്തിയും മെനയൊന്നുല്ലാത്ത കൂട്ടത്തിലാന്ന് വിചാരിക്കല്ലി. പിന്നെ കാകു വാരാൻ കിട്ടുന്ന ഒരു അവസരം വെറുതെ കളയളൂല അല്ലാണ്ട് തീരേ കുളിക്കിലാനൊന്നും വിചാരിക്കല്ലേ.
അവൾ നേരെ റൂമിൽ പോയി ഡോർ ലോക്ക് ചെയ്തു. മുടി ഡ്രയർ വെച്ച് ഒന്നുണക്കി വലിയ അലങ്കാരമൊന്നുമില്ലാതെ ജസ്റ്റ് ചീർപ്പ് കൊണ്ടൊന്നും കോതിഒതുക്കി, രണ്ട് സൈഡിൽന്നും ഒരു ക്ലിപ്പ് വെച്ച് കുത്തി, ബാക്കി മുടി അങ്ങനെ അഴിച്ചിട്ടു. ശേഷം അലമാര തുറന്ന് കൊറച്ചു നേരം ആലോചിച്ചു.ഒരുപാട് ഡ്രസ്സ് വാങ്ങികൂട്ടുന്ന സ്വഭാവം ഒന്നുമില്ലെങ്കിലും അത്യാവശ്യം ഡ്രെസ്സുള്ളത്കൊണ്ട് എവിടെ പോവാണെങ്കിലും 15മിനുട്ട് അലമാരക്ക് മുന്നിൽ നിന്ന് ചിക്കി ചികഞ്ഞു അവസാനം എവിടെ പോവുമ്പോഴും ഇടുന്ന ഒരു സിമ്പിൾ ഡ്രസ്സ് എടുത്തിടാറാണ് പതിവ്. “ഇന്ന് ഇപ്പൊ അങ്ങനല്ലല്ലോ പത്താം ക്ലാസ്സിൽ കൂടെ പഠിച്ച എല്ലാരേം ഒന്നൂടെ കാണാൻ പോവല്ലേ. അതോണ്ട് ഒന്ന് കളർ ആയ്കോട്ടെ!”
ഒരു ലൈറ്റ് പിങ്ക് ഹൈനേക്ക് വരുന്ന ഒരു ടി-ഷർട്ടും ജീൻസിന്റെ ഒരു ഫുൾ ലെങ്ത് വരുന്ന ഗൗണും പെയർ ചെയ്തു. മൊയ്സ്റ്ററൈസർ, സൺസ്ക്രീനൊക്കെ ഇട്ട ശേഷം ചുണ്ടിൽ ഒരൽപ്പം പിങ്ക് ഷൈഡ് ലിപ്ബാംമും കണ്ണിന്റെ മേലെ ഐലൈനെറും വരച്ചു. ബാക്കിലും സൈഡിലൊക്കെ ഒന്ന് തിരിഞ്ഞനോക്കി ഓക്കേ അല്ലെന്ന് ഉറപ്പുവരുത്തി ഒരുക്കം കംപ്ലീറ്റ് ആക്കി. ഡോർ തുറന്നു അടുക്കള ലക്ഷ്യം വെച്ച് നടന്നു.
കിച്ചനിൽ ചെന്നപ്പോ കാകുന്റെ ഫുഡടിയൊക്കെ കഴിഞ്ഞ് ടേബിളിൽ ഇരുന്ന് ലാപ്പിൽ എന്തോ കാര്യമായിട്ട് ടൈപ്പ് ചെയ്യുന്ന പണിയിലാണ്. റിനു നേരെ പോയി ബ്രേക്ക് ഫാസ്റ്റെടുത്തു ഒരു ചെയർ വലിച്ചിട്ടു ഇരുന്ന് കഴിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി.
“ഇയ്യ് എങ്ങനെ പോവുന്നെ റിനു? കഴിച്ചോണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോഴാണ് ഉമ്മാന്റെ ചോദ്യം.
അപ്പഴാണ് അങ്ങനൊരു കാര്യം ഓർക്കുന്നത് തന്നെ. സ്കൂട്ടി പണി മുടക്കിലാണ്. ബസിലൊക്കെ കേറീട്ട് കാലം കുറച്ചായി…”ഇനിപ്പോ ന്ത് സെയ്യും മലയ്യ!!”
ഐഡിയ..! “കാകൂ”…!
അല്പം തേനും പാലും ചേർത്ത് നിഷ്കളങ്കമായി റിച്ചുനെ ഒന്ന് നീട്ടിവിളിച്ചു. ആ വിളി കേട്ടപ്പഴേ അവന് ഉറപ്പാണ് എന്തോ കാര്യം സാധിക്കാനുണ്ടെന്ന്. ആദ്യത്തെ വിളി കേൾക്കാതായപ്പോ അവൾ ഒന്നൂടെ അതെ ഈണത്തിൽത്തന്നെ വിളിച്ചു. വീണ്ടും മറുപടിയൊന്നും ഇല്ലാണ്ടായപ്പോ പെണ്ണ് ചെയറിൽ ഇരുന്നുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ അവൻ ഇരിക്കുന്നിടത്തേക്ക് ഒന്ന് എത്തിനോക്കി. “കണ്ണ് ആ കുന്തത്തിൽ തന്നെ ആണ്. പക്ഷെ ചെവി അവിടത്തന്നെ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ, പട്ടി..! വിളികേൾക്കണ്ടിരിക്കാവും”
മനസ്സിൽ പറഞ് പല്ല് കടിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഒന്നൂടെ വിളിച്ചു. എവ്ട്ന്ന്!
നൊ റിപ്ലേ… “പുല്ല് ഇത് ഒരു നടക്ക് പോവൂല”!
“ഡാ…! മത്തങ്ങാ തലയ…കുമ്പളങ്ങാ മോറ…കാക്കു, അന്നേണ് ഞാൻ ഈ വിളിക്കുന്നെ”!
“ഓഹ്… റിയലി! എന്നെ ആയിരുന്നോ? വെരി സോറി സിസ്റ്ററ്ററേ…താങ്കളുടെ ഭാഷ ശുദ്ധി ഞാൻ അറിഞ്ഞില്ല ആരും പറഞ്ഞും ഇല്ല. അത്കൊണ്ട് നോം തെറ്റിദ്ധരിച്ചു. അപ്പുറത്തു വീട്ടിൽന്ന് ആരെങ്കിലും വിളിച്ചതാവും എന്ന് കരുതി”.
“തെണ്ടി”! റിനു പല്ല് കടിച്ചോണ്ട് നോക്കി.
“ഹ…ഹ…ഹ, ഇനി കാര്യം പറ എന്താ ഉദ്ദേശം?
“എന്ത് ഉദ്ദേശം! പ്രത്യേകിച്ചൊന്നുമില്ല, എന്റെ പേടകം പണിമുടക്കിലാണ്. സൊ…ഓഫീസിൽ പോകുന്ന വഴിക്ക് താങ്കളുടെ പേടകത്തിൽ എന്നെ ആ ഗ്രീൻ ലാൻഡ് റസ്റ്റോറന്റിൽ ഒന്ന് ഇറക്കണം”.
“നടക്കൂല മോളേ”…!
“ നടക്കേണ്ട, എന്നെ ആ കാറിൽ ഒന്ന് ഇരുത്തി അവിടെ ഡ്രോപ്പ് ചെയ്ത മതി.” ഇടയിൽ കയറി റിനു പറഞ്ഞു.
“ഓഫീസിൽന്നും അങ്ങോട്ടേക്ക് പോകാൻ എത്ര ദൂരം ഉണ്ടെന്ന റിനു. കുട്ടിക്കളി ആണോ? എനിക്ക് ഓഫീസിൽ ടൈമിന് എത്തണം. നിനക്കെന്താ ഇന്നലെ പറഞ്ഞൂടായിരുന്നോ. എങ്കിൽ കുറച്ചു നേരത്തെ ഇറങായിരുന്നല്ലോ! ഇപ്പൊ പോയി നിന്നെ അവിടെ ഇറക്കി ഞാൻ ഓഫീസിൽ എത്തുമ്പഴേക്ക് ലേറ്റ് ആവും. ബസിന് എങ്ങാനും പൊക്കോ…!
അല്ലെങ്കിൽ തല്ക്കാലം ഇന്ന് ഒരു ദിവസം എന്റെ ബുള്ളറ്റ് കൊണ്ട് പൊയ്ക്കോ”.
റിച്ചു പറഞ് നിർത്തിയതും പെണ്ണിന്റെ മുഖമൊന്ന് തിളങ്ങി. പെട്ടന്ന് തന്നെ അത് മാറുകയും ചെയ്തു.
“എന്താ”?
ഞാൻ, ഈ ഡ്രെസ്സും ഇട്ടോണ്ട് ബുള്ളറ്റിൽ ഇരിക്കാൻ എനിക്ക് പറ്റൂല. സങ്കടത്തോടെ അവൾ മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു.

“ഈ ഡ്രെസ്സും ഇട്ടോണ്ട് എനിക്ക് പറ്റൂല ബുള്ളറ്റ് ഓടിക്കാൻ!” അവൾ സങ്കടത്തോടെ പറഞ്ഞു.
“ഓഹ്… പിന്നെ, അതങ്ങ് മാറ്റി ബുള്ളെറ്റ് ഓടിക്കാൻ പറ്റുന്ന ഏതേലും ഡ്രസ്സ് എടുത്തിട്ട് മോൾ വണ്ടി വിടാൻ നോക്ക്. എന്നെ നോക്കണ്ട”
“പ്ലീസ് കാക്കു…! ഇനി ഇതൊക്കെ മാറ്റി ഒരുങ്ങി വരുമ്പോക്ക് ലേറ്റ് ആവും.ടൈമിന് എത്യാലല്ലേ എല്ലാരേം കാണാൻ കഴിയുള്ളൂ. എല്ലാർക്കും കുട്ട്യേളും മക്കളൊക്കെ ആയോണ്ട് നേരത്തെ പോവും. ഉള്ള ടൈമെങ്കില് കൊർച് സംസാരിച്ചു ഇരിക്കലൊന്ന് വിചാരിച്ചിട്ട ഞങ്ങൾ 10 മണിക്ക് ടൈം സെറ്റ് ആക്കിയെ”
“ഇപ്പൊ സമയം 9 അല്ലെ ആയുള്ളൂ… ഇപ്പൊത്തന്നെ ഇറങ്ങിയാൽ രണ്ടാൾക്കും കറക്റ്റ് സമയത്ത് എത്താം. റിഷു നീ ഒന്ന് കൊണ്ട് വിട്ടേക്കേടാ അവളെ. എന്നും ഇല്ലല്ലോ!” ഉമ്മായാണ് അത് പറഞ്ഞത്.
“ഉമ്മക്കെന്താ ഉമ്മാ. ..എനിക്ക് കൊറച്ചൂടെ വർക്ക് പെന്റിങ് ഉണ്ട്. അത് കഴ്ഞ്ഞു ഞാൻ ഒരു 9:30 നെ ഇറങ്ങാത്തൊള്ളൂ”
“അത് ഓഫീസിൽന്നായാലും ചെയ്യാലോ കാകുന്”
“ഓഹ്…!” റിച്ചു പല്ല് കടിച്ചോണ്ട അവളെ നോക്കി. പെണ്ണ് പ്ലീസ് എന്ന ആക്ഷനും ഇട്ട് ഇരിക്കാണ്.
“5 മിനിറ്റ് അതിന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ കാറിൽ കേറിയാൽ ഒക്കെ നടക്കും!”
“ദേ…എന്റത് കഴിഞ്ഞു, എപ്പോ കാറിൽ എത്തിയെന്നു ചോദിച്ചാമതി”. പറച്ചിലിന് ഒപ്പം തന്നെ കഴിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരുന്ന പ്ലേറ്റ് എടുത്ത് സിങ്കിൽ ഇട്ട് കയ്യും കഴുകി ഉമ്മാന്റെ ഷാളിൽ തുടച്ചു ഒരൊറ്റ ഓട്ടം ആയിരുന്നു റൂമിൽക്ക്.
റൂമിൽ ചെന്ന് പെട്ടന്ന് അഴിച്ചിട്ട മുടിയിൽ ഒരു ക്രാബ് എടുത്ത് മേലേക്ക് കുത്തി പോയ lipbalm ഒന്നൂടെ touchup ചെയ്ത് ലൈറ്റ് പിങ്ക് ഷാൾ സ്കാർഫ് ചെയ്യാതെ മുടി കാണാതെ രീതിയിൽ പിന്ന് വെച്ച് ഒന്ന് അഡ്ജസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്ത് കയ്യിൽ കിട്ടിയ ഒരു ഹാൻഡ് ബാഗും ഫോണും എടുത്തു പുറത്തേക്കിറങ്ങി. വേഗം തന്നെ ഷൂ റാക്കിൽന്ന് ചെരിപ്പും
എടുത്തിട്ട് മുറ്റത് ഇറങ്ങി നിന്നു. റിച്ചുവും അപ്പോഴേക്ക് റെഡി ആയി എത്തി. കാറിന്റെ ഡോർ തുറന്നു കയറി.
“ഉമ്മാ. …പോയിട്ട് വരാം….! അസ്സലാമുഅലൈക്കും”
എന്ന് നീറ്റിവിളിച്ച പറച്ചിലിനൊപ്പം തന്നെ അവളും co- driving സീറ്റിലേക്ക് കയറി.
9: 25 ആയപ്പോത്തിന് അവളെ restaurantin മുന്നിൽ ഇറക്കി റിച്ചു തിരിച്ചു പോയിരുന്നു.
പുറത്തൊന്നും പരിചയമുള്ള ആരെയും കാണുന്നില്ല. പാർട്ടി ഹാളിലാണ് പാരിബാടി അറേഞ്ച് ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ളത്. വർക്കിംഗ് ഡേയ്സ് ആയത്കൊണ്ടുതന്നെ ടീച്ചേർസ് ഒന്നുമില്ല. അന്ന് ക്ലാസ്സിലുണ്ടായർന്ന ബോയ്സും ഗേൾസും ഉൾപ്പെടെ ഒരു 55 കുട്ടികൾ മാത്രം. പെൺകുട്ടികളുടെ എല്ലാവരുടെ കല്യാണൊക്കെ കഴിഞ്ഞു, ജോബ് family അങ്ങനെ പോണു…, ബോയ്സും പിന്നെ കൊർച് പേര് അബ്രോഡ്, ഹയർ സ്റ്റഡീസ്, അതോണ്ട് തന്നെ എല്ലാവർക്കും സൗകര്യമുള്ള ദിവസം ഇന്ന് ആയത്കൊണ്ടാണ് പുറത്ത് അറേഞ്ച് ചെയ്തേ. അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ടീച്ചേഴ്സിനൊക്കെ മീറ്റ് ചെയ്യാൻ സ്കൂളിൽ വെച്ച് തന്നെ ആക്കിയേനെ. ഒരു നിമിഷമൊന്ന് ആലോചിച്ചു നിന്നു,
ആരേം കാണാതെ വന്നതും അവൾ ഫോൺ എടുത്ത് സ്റ്റെല്ല എന്ന നമ്പറിലേക്ക് dial ചെയ്തു. അന്നത്തെ അവളുടെ കൂട്ടുകെട്ടായിരുന്നു സ്റ്റെല്ല ആളിപ്പോ മാര്യേജോക്കെ കഴ്ഞ്ഞു ഹുസ്ബൻഡ് ന്റെ കൂടെ ദുബായ് സെറ്റൽഡ് ആണ്.
വിളിച്ചിട്ട് കാൾ കണക്ട് ആവാതെ വന്നതും അവൾ നേരെ റിസപ്ഷൻ പോയി തിരക്കി പാർട്ടി ഹാൾ 3 റെഡ് ഫ്ലോറിൽ ആണെന്നറിഞ്ഞതും നേരെ ലിഫ്റ്റ് ലക്ഷ്യം വെച്ച് നീങ്ങി. ക്ലാസ്സ് കഴിയുമ്പോ കണ്ടതാ എല്ലാരേം. ഓരോരുത്തരെ കല്യാണം ഉണ്ടായെങ്കിലും നാട്ടിലുള്ള 1,2 കുട്ടികളെ മാത്രേ കാണാൻ ആയുള്ളൂ. എല്ലാരും അവരുടെ ബിസി ലൈഫിൽ സെറ്റ് ആയി പഠനം ജോബ് ഒക്കെ ആയി അങ്ങനെ. വട്സപ് ഗ്രൂപ്പ് ഒക്കെ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലു അതിലും ആക്ടിവൊക്കെ കൊറവ. ഒരു ഓണത്തിനോ പെരുന്നാളിനൊക്കെ ആരെങ്കിലും ഒരു വിഷ് ഇട്ടാലായി അത്രതന്നെ. ഏകദേശം 9 വർഷങ്ങൾക്കിപ്പുറം ആണ് എല്ലാരേം കാണാൻ പോവുന്നത്. അതിന്റെ ഒരു സന്തോഷം ഉണ്ട്. എല്ലാർക്കും ഒത്തിരി മാറ്റങ്ങളുണ്ടാവും. എല്ലാവരും ഒരു അമ്മയും ഭാര്യയും ഒക്കെ ആയിട്ടുണ്ടാവും.
“ആഹ് പിന്നെ, ഇക്കൂട്ടത്തിൽ റിനു സിംഗിൾ ആണേ. ഇത് വരെ പഠനം പിന്നെ 1 ഇയർ വീട്ടിൽ റസ്റ്റ് വേണം എന്നൊക്കെ പറഞ് ഉപ്പച്ചിനെ പിടിച്ചു നിർത്തി. ഇനിപ്പോ ഈ ഇയർ ഉപ്പച്ചി വന്നാൽപ്പിന്നെ പിടിച്ചാപിടിയാലേ പിടിക്കും എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്. നമ്മക്ക് നോക്ക! എന്താവോ എന്തോ?!”
ഓരോന്നും ആലോയ്ച്ചു ലിഫ്റ്റിന് അടുത്തെത്തി ബട്ടൺ പ്രെസ്സ് ചെയ്തു. ഡോർ ഓപ്പണായി 3rd floor പ്രെസ്സ് ചെയ്ത് close ആക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങുമ്പോഴാണ്,
“എസ്ക്യൂസ്മി!“ എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു ഒരു ആറടി പൊക്കത്തിൽ നല്ല കട്ട താടി ഒക്കെ വെച്ച് മാസ്സ് ലുക്കിൽ ഒരു പയ്യൻ . ഒരു പിസ്ത കളർ ഷർട്ടും ഓഫ് വൈറ്റ് പാന്റും ആണ് വേഷം. ഒരു കൂളിംഗ് ഗ്ലാസ് ഷർട്ടിന്റെ രണ്ടാമത്തെ ബട്ടന്നിൽ കൊളുത്തി വെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. കയ്യിൽ ഒരു വാച്ചും ഉണ്ട് കണ്ടാലേ അറിയാം നല്ല ബ്രാൻഡഡ് സാധങ്ങൾ ആണെന്ന്.
ഇതൊക്കെ കണ്ടപ്പോ പെണ്ണിന് അന്ന് അവരുടെ കൂടെ ഇണ്ടായിരുന്ന ‘Shan Rahman’ എന്ന ഒരു പണച്ചാകിനെയാണ് ഓർമ്മ വന്നത്. “ഗൾഫിൽന്നും അന്ന് ആദ്യം ആയിട്ട് നാട്ടിലെത്തി അന്ന് സ്കൂളിൽ വന്ന ആൾ. അഹങ്കാരത്തിന് കണ്ണും കയ്യും വെച്ച ഒരു മൊതലായിരുന്നു. കാണാൻ അന്നും ഒരു അമുൽ ബേബി ലുക്ക്, അവന്റെ ഇരട്ടപെരും അതന്നെ ആയിരുന്നു. തന്നേം അവനൊക്കെ പറഞ്ഞു കുട്ടികൾ ഓരോ ഗോസിപൊക്കെ അന്ന് പറയാർന്നു. തനിക്കാണേൽ അന്ന് ആ മൊതലിനെ കണ്ണെടുത്താകണ്ടൂടാ. അത്രക്ക് ജാഡ!! ഇനിപ്പോ അവനെങ്ങാനും ആവോ ലവൻ!”
അതും ചിന്തിച്ചോണ്ട് പെണ്ണ് അവന്റെ മുഖത്തേക്ക് ഒന്ന് സൂക്ഷിച്ചുനോക്കാൻ തല പൊക്കിയതും ദാ… കിടക്കണ് ആ രണ്ട് കണ്ണും അവളെ തന്നെ സൂക്ഷിച്ചു നോക്കി നിക്കുന്നു. അത് കണ്ട് റിനു ചെറുതായിട്ടൊന്ന് അവനെ നോക്കി പുഞ്ചിരിച്ചു.
“Rinshi ?”
കണ്ണ് ചുരുക്കി ചോദ്യഭാവാതിൽ അവൻ ചോദിച്ചതും അതേയെന്ന് അവളും തലയാട്ടി.
അത് കണ്ടതും അവനൊന്ന് പുഞ്ചിരിച്ചു.!”റിൻഷിക്ക് എന്നെ മനസ്സിലായില്ലേ? ഞാൻ shan”
ഒന്നും പറയാതെ അന്തം വിട്ടുള്ള പെണ്ണിന്റെ നിൽപ്പ് കണ്ടതും അവൻ തന്നെ പറഞ്ഞു.
അതുംകൂടെ കേട്ടതോടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ബാക്കി കിളികളും പറന്നു പോയി. ആരെക്കുറിച്ചാണോ ചിന്തിച്ചേ അയാൾ തന്നെ മുന്നിൽ.
“Rinshi…! ഇറങ്ങിക്കോ”.ലിഫ്റ്റിന്റെ ഡോർ ഓപ്പൺ ആയതും അവന്റെ ആ പറച്ചിലിലാണ് പെണ്ണിന് സ്വബോധം വന്നത്.
“ആഹ്…” എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു രണ്ട് പേരും ലിഫ്റ്റിൽ നിന്ന് ഇറങ്ങി.
“പാർട്ടി ഹാൾ ലെഫ്റ്റ് സൈഡിലാണ്. എല്ലാരും അവിടെയുണ്ട് ഞാൻ കബീറിനെ വിളിച്ചിരുന്നു. അങ്ങോട്ട് പോവാം”. അതും പറഞ്ഞു shan നടന്നതും ഒരു സെക്കന്റ് ഒന്ന് നിന്ന് റിനുവും അവന്റെ കൂടെത്തന്നെ നടന്നു.
“റിൻഷിക്ക് എന്നെ പെട്ടന്ന് മനസ്സിലായില്ല അല്ലെ.”
“അതല്ല, പെട്ടന്ന് കണ്ടപ്പോ ഒരു കൺഫ്യൂഷൻ. താടി ഒക്കെ വെച്ച് കണ്ടപ്പോ. പിന്നെ കൊറേ നാൾ ആയില്ലേ. ഫോട്ടോയും കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല. ഗ്രൂപ്പിലും ഇല്ലല്ലോ നീ. അത്കൊണ്ട് പെട്ടന്ന് മനസ്സിലായില്ല”. ഷാന്റെ ചോദ്യത്തിന് റിനു മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു.
“പക്ഷെ തന്റെ മുഖം ഞാൻ എവിടുന്ന് കണ്ടാലും തിരിച്ചറിയുട്ടോ. സൂപ്പർ എനിമീസ് ആയിരുന്നില്ലേ നമ്മൾ” എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു അവൻ അവളെ നോക്കി ഒന്ന് പുഞ്ചിരിച്ചു.
“ഹേയ്…! അതൊക്കെ അന്നത്തെ ഓരോരോ…”
“അതെ ഇന്നതൊക്കെ ആലോയ്ക്കുമ്പോ ഒരു വെഷമം ലെ” ഇടക്ക് കേറി അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
അതിന് അവൾ ഒന്ന് ചിരിച്ചതേയുള്ളു.
നടത്തതിനിടയിൽ അവൻ ഹയർസെക്കന്ററി കഴിഞ്ഞു ലണ്ടൻ പോയെന്നും എംബിബിസ് എടുത്തു അവിടെത്തന്നെ ഹോസ്പിറ്റൽ വർക്ക് ചെയ്യാണെന്നൊക്കെ വാതോരാതെ അവൻ ഓരോന്നും പറയുന്നുണ്ട്.
“ലുക്ക് പണ്ടത്തെ പോൽത്തന്നെ ഒക്കെ ബ്രാൻഡ് സാധനങ്ങൾ. കൊർച് താടി ഒക്കെ വെച്ച് അന്നത്തെ കുട്ടിയിൽനിന്നും ഒരു പുരുഷനായി എന്ന് മാത്രം. എന്നാലും സ്വഭാവത്തിന് ഇങ്ങനെ മാറ്റം വരുവോ. അന്നത്തെ സ്വഭാവത്തിന് ഇപ്പൊ കണ്ട മൈൻഡ് പോലും കാണിക്കൂല എന്തിന് ഈ പാരിബാടിക്ക് തന്നെ ഇവിടെ വരൂല. ഇനിയിപ്പോ…” അവൻ പറയുന്നതെല്ലാം മൂളി കേട്ടുകൊണ്ട് ഇതൊക്കെ ആയിരുന്നു അവളുടെ ചിന്ത.
അപ്പോഴേക്കും അവര് ഹാളിൽ എത്തിയിരുന്നു.
റിസപ്ഷനിസ്റ്റ് ഡോർ തുറന്ന് കൊടുത്തതും അവര് ഉള്ളിലേക്ക് കയറി. വിശാലമായ നല്ല ലൈറ്റ്സൊക്കെ വെച്ച് അറേഞ്ച് ചെയ്ത ആ വലിയ ഹാളിൽ ഒത്ത നടുക്കായി റൗണ്ടിൽ വലിയ ഒരു സ്റ്റേജും അതിന് ചുറ്റും നിരനിരയായി കാണികൾക്ക് ഇരിക്കാനുള്ള ഭംഗിയുള്ള ക്യൂഷ്നൊക്കെ വെച്ച ചെയ്റുകളും.
കൊറച്ചു പേര് സ്റ്റേജിലും കുറച്ചു പേര് അവിടെ ചെയറിലൊക്കെ ആയിട്ട് ഇരുന്ന് ഭയങ്കര കത്തിയിടയിലാണ്. ഒരുനിമിഷം പണ്ടത്തെ ആ പത്താം ക്ലാസ്സിലെ ഇന്റർവെൽ സമയമാണ് അവൾക്ക് ഓർമ വന്നത്. എല്ലാവരും കലപില കൂട്ടി സംസാരിച് ഒരുഭാഗത് ഡെസ്റ്റർ കൊണ്ട് എറിഞ്കളിച്ചും നടന്ന ആ പഴയ പത്താം ക്ലാസ്സ്. അപ്പോഴും ഒരു മൂലയിലിരുന്നു വായിക്കുകയുയോ എഴുതുകയോ ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒച്ച സഹിക്കാവയ്യാതെ ആവുമ്പോ ഇംഗ്ലീഷിൽ എന്തൊക്കെ വിളിച്ചുകൂവുന്ന ഒരു പാൽകാരൻ പയ്യനെയും റിനുന് ഓർമവന്നു. അവൾ പെട്ടന്ന് തന്നെ ഷാന്റെ മുഖത്തേക്ക് നോക്കി.
“എന്താടോ…?!” എന്ന് അവൻ പുരികം പൊക്കി ചോദിച്ചതിന് ചുമൽകൂച്ചി ഒന്നുമില്ലെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു പുഞ്ചിരിച്ചു അവൾ ഫ്രണ്ട്സ്നെ ലക്ഷ്യം വെച്ച് നടന്നിരുന്നു.
അവന്റെ മുഖത്തും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു അപ്പൊ കുഞ്ഞൊരു പുഞ്ചിരി.
എല്ലാവരേം കണ്ടപാടേ പിന്നെ കൈ കൊടുക്കലും കെട്ടിപിടിക്കലും ഒക്കെ ആയി പരിചയം പുതുക്കലായിരുന്നു.
പിന്നീടങ്ങോട്ടുള്ള രണ്ട് രണ്ടര മണിക്കൂർ എല്ലാവരും ആ പഴയ പതാംക്ലാസ്കാരായിരുന്നു. സൊറ പറഞ്ഞും പരസ്പരം കളിയാക്കിയും അങ്ങനെ…അങ്ങന. അപ്പൊ അവരാരും ഒരു അമ്മയോ ഭാര്യയോ ഉത്തരവാദിത്യമുള്ള പുരുഷന്മാരോ ആയിരുന്നില്ല. നിഷ്കളങ്കമായ ആ നല്ല നാളുകളിലുള്ള കൂട്ടുകാർ മാത്രമായിരുന്നു.

ഇടക്കെപ്പോഴൊ അവളുടെ നോട്ടം ഷാനുമായി ഒന്നിടഞ്ഞു. ചെക്കൻ എല്ലാരോടും സംസാരിക്കുന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിലും കണ്ണ് ഓൾടെ മുഖത്തു തന്നെയാണ്.
“അതിൽ ന്തോ ഒരു ഇതില്ലേ…ഹേയ്, എന്ത്?ഒന്നുല്ല!!” അവൾ സ്വയമേ പറഞ്ഞകൊണ്ട് അവനൊരു പുഞ്ചിരി നൽകികൊണ്ട് എല്ലാവരിലേക്കും ശ്രദ്ധ ചെലുത്തി.
“ഡി! റിൻഷി നിനക്ക് മാത്രം ഒരു മാറ്റോം ഇല്ലല്ലോ ഇപ്പഴും”. ഫസ്നയാണ്.
“അവൾ സിംഗിൾ അല്ലേടി നമ്മളെ പോലെ കല്യാണം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടൂല്ല പ്രസവിച്ചിട്ടും ഇല്ല. പിന്നെങ്ങനെ?! അവളെപ്പോലെ ഒക്കെ ആയ മതിയായർന്നു. ഇതിപ്പോ കല്യാണമേ വേണ്ട പറഞ്ഞ നമ്മൾക്കൊക്കെ ഇപ്പൊ ഒന്നും രണ്ടും ട്രോഫികളായി”
പിന്നെ അവിടെ അങ്ങോട്ട് പെണ്ണിനെ കെട്ടിക്കാനുള്ള ചർച്ചകളായർന്നു. ബോയ്സും ഗേൾസൊക്കെ അങ്ങോട്ടും ഇങ്ങോട്ടും ഓരോന്നും പറഞ്ഞു പെണ്ണിനെ അങ്ങ് വാരികൊരുന്നുണ്ട്. അവളും അതേപോലെ തിരുച്ചു നല്ല മറുപടിയും കൊടുക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.
ഇതെല്ലാം ചുണ്ടിൽ വിരിഞ്ഞ ഒരു ചെറുപുഞ്ചിരിയോടെ നോക്കി ഇരിക്കായിരുന്നു ഷാൻ.
യൂണിഫോമൊക്കെ ഇട്ട് ഇതേപോലെ ഉരുളക്ക് ഉപ്പേരിപോലെ മറുപടിപറയുന്ന സകല കുരുത്തക്കേടിനും ക്ലാസ്സിൽന്ന് പുറത്താക്കുന്ന എന്നാൽ എക്സാമിന് അതവിശ്യം നല്ല മാർക്കും വാങ്ങിക്കുന്ന ടീച്ചേഴ്സിന്റൊക്കെ കണ്ണിലുണ്ണിയായ ഒരു വായാടിയായ..എന്നാ തന്നോട് ഉണ്ണിയാർച്ചയാവുന്ന ഒരു റിൻഷിയെയാണ് അവന്നപ്പോ അവിടെ കണ്ടത്.
“റിൻഷി… ഞാൻ വന്നപ്പോ മുതൽ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുന്നതാടി ആ അമുൽബേബി നിന്നെ തന്നെ നോക്കി ഇരിക്കാണ്, മാത്രല്ല നിങ്ങൾ ഒരുമിച്ചല്ലേ വന്നതും. നിന്റെ കല്യാണം ഒന്നും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ലാന്ന് അറിഞ്ഞപ്പോ അന്ന് എല്ലാരും കളിയാക്കിയ പോലെ ഇനിപ്പോ നിന്നെ വളച്ചു കുപ്പിലാക്കി കെട്ടാൻ വല്ല പ്ലാനും ഉണ്ടാവുമോ അവന്. കാര്യം അവന് അന്നേ നമ്മളെ ഒന്നര വയസ്സിനു മൂത്തതല്ലേ. അതോണ്ട് ഇനിപ്പോ സെയിം age ആണെന്നുള്ള പ്രശ്നം ഉണ്ടാവില്ലല്ലോ. ഒരു കൈ നോക്കണോ റിൻഷി!” സ്റ്റെല്ല യാണ് .
ഫുഡ് കഴിച്ചോണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോ റിനുന്റെ ചെവിക്കരികിൽ വന്നാണ് അവളുടെ പറച്ചിൽ. റിനു വേഗം എല്ലാരേം നോക്കി. ഓരോന്നു സംസാരിച്ചു ചിരിച് ഫുഡ് കഴിക്കണ തിരക്കിലാണ് എല്ലാരും. ഷാനിനെ നോക്കിയപ്പോ അവൻ ഫുഡിൽ മാത്രം ആണ് ശ്രദ്ധ.
അവള് സ്റ്റെല്ല യെ ഒന്ന് തിരിഞ്ഞുനോക്കി.
“കെട്ടി ഒരു കുട്ടീടെ തള്ള ആയിട്ടും നിന്റെ ഈ സ്വഭാവത്തിന് മാറ്റം ഇല്ലല്ലേ…!?”
“ഹി…ഹി…എടി അത് പിന്നെ ശീലിച്ചപ്പോയില്ലേ. ഇങ്ങനൊക്കെ അല്ലെ പുറത്തെടുക്കാൻ പറ്റു. എത്രകാലത്തിന് ശേഷന്ന് അറിയോ ഇത്ര ഫ്രീ ആയിട്ട്”. സ്റ്റെല്ല ഇളിച്ചോണ്ട് പറഞ്ഞു.
“ആണോ നന്നായി, എന്നാലേ അതിങ്ങോട്ട് വേണ്ട. എന്നെ കെട്ടിക്കായിട്ട് എന്താ നിനക്കിത്ര തിടുക്കം. മര്യാദക്ക് ഇരുന്ന് കഴിക്കാൻ നോക്ക്”.
“ഓ….! നിന്റെ ഈ ഓഞ്ഞ സ്വഭാവത്തിനും മാറ്റം ഇല്ലല്ലോ”. അതും പറഞ്ഞു സ്റ്റെല്ല കഴിക്കാൻ തുടങി.
ഒരു ചിരിയോടെ അവളും ഇരുന്ന് ഫുഡ് കഴിച്ചു.
ഫുഡ് കഴിക്കലും ഫോട്ടോ എടുക്കാലൊക്കെ കഴിഞ്ഞ് എല്ലാരും യാത്ര പറഞ്ഞു ഇറങ്ങാൻ നേരമാണ് ക്യാഷ് ഷെയർ ഇടുന്ന കാര്യം സംസാരിച്ചത്.
“ഇന്നത്തെ ട്രീറ്റ് നമ്മളെ അമുൽബേബി ന്റെ വകയാണ് മക്കളെ! നമ്മളെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ഒരു ഡോക്ടർ ബ്രോ ആയില്ലേ…! അല്ലേടാ” അവന്റെ തോളിലൂടെ കയ്യിട്ട് കൊണ്ട് കബീറാണ് പറഞ്ഞത്.
ഇത്രേം അടിപൊളി സെറ്റപ്പ്പിൽ നല്ല ഒരു എമൗണ്ട് ആയിട്ടുണ്ടാവും എന്ന് അറിയുന്നത്കൊണ്ട് എല്ലാവരും ഷെയർ ഇടാം എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞിട്ടും ഷാൻ അതൊക്കെ ചിരിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് നിരസിച്ചു. അല്ലെങ്കിലും മൂപ്പർ പണ്ടേ പണചാക്ക് അല്ലെ. വാപ്പാക്ക് ഗൾഫിൽ വല്ല്യ ബിസിനെസ്സൊക്കെ ആണ്. ഇപ്പൊ ആളൊരു ഡോക്ടറും.
ഓരോരുത്തരായി യാത്ര പറഞ്ഞു ഇറങ്ങി. “റിൻഷി….നീ എങ്ങനെ പോവുന്നെ?” കബീറാണ് ചോദിച്ചത്.
“ഞാൻ വന്നത് കാകുന്റെ കൂടെയാ, ഇനി തിരിച്ചു പോവാൻ ബസ് നോക്കണം. ആദ്യം സ്റ്റാൻഡിൽ എത്തണം.അതിന് ഞാൻ ഓട്ടോ കിട്ടോ നോക്കട്ടെ”.
“സ്റ്റാൻഡിൽക്കാണെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ അവിടെ ഇറക്കാം. ഞാൻ അത് വഴിയാ. .ബൈക്കിൽ കേറുവോ ന്റെ കൂടെ?”വിഷ്ണുവാണ് ചോദിച്ചത്.
“ഹേയ്… വേണ്ട ഞാൻ ഓട്ടോ പിടിച്ചോളാം”. അതും പറഞ്ഞു വേഗം തന്നെ അവരോടൊക്കെ യാത്ര പറഞ് പുറത്തേക്ക് ഇറങ്ങാൻ നേരമാണ് ഷാന്റെ ഒരു പിൻവിളി.
“റിൻഷി… താൻ ന്റെ കൂടെ വായോ. കാറിലാണ് ഞാൻ സ്റ്റാൻഡിൽ ഡ്രോപ്പ് ചെയ്യാം”.
വേണ്ട എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞെങ്കിലും അവന്റെ നിർബന്ധത്തിൽ കൂടെ തന്നെ പോവാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചു. മുന്നിൽ കയറാണോ ബാക്കിൽ കയറാണോ എന്ന് ആലോയ്ച്ചു നിന്നപ്പഴേക്കും അവൻ വന്നു കോഡ്രൈവിംഗ് സീറ്റിന്റെ ഡോർ തുറന്നു ഉള്ളിലേക്ക് കയറിയിരിക്കാൻ പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. പിന്നെ ഒന്നും ആലോചിക്കാതെ അവളും കയറി ഡോർ അടച്ചു. ഒരുപാട് വർഷായി പബ്ലിക് ട്രാൻസ്പോർട്സ് ഒക്കെ ഒഴിവാക്കീട്ട്. കോളേജിലൊക്കെ scooty കൊണ്ടാണ് പോക്ക്. അത്കൊണ്ടുതന്നെ ബസ് യാത്രയൊക്കെ ചെയ്തിട്ട് കുറെ ആയി. ചെറിയ മടി ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും കാകുനെ വിളിക്കണ്ട ബസിന് വീട്ടിൽ പൊക്കോ എന്ന് കാകു ആദ്യേ മുൻകൂർജാമ്യം എടുത്തത്കൊണ്ടാ ബസ്ന് പോവാന്ന് കരുതിയെ.
ഷാന്റെ കൂടെ പോവുന്നതിൽ ഒരു മടി ഇല്ലാതില്ല. എന്താണെന്നറിയില്ല എന്തോ ഒരു ഒരു something special ഫീൽ. “ആഹ്…എന്തെങ്കിലും ആവട്ടെ ഏതായാലും സ്റ്റാൻഡ് വരെ അല്ലെ.” ഓരോന്നും ആലോചിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ
ഡോർ അടച്ചു പുറത്തേക്ക് നോക്കിയപ്പോ കബീർ ഷാന്റെ ചെവിയിൽ ന്തോ പറയുന്നതും അവൻ ചിരിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെ കാണുന്നുണ്ട്. കുഞ്ഞൊരു പുഞ്ചിരിയോടെ അവളത് നോക്കിയിരുന്നു. “അന്നേ അവൻ കുറച്ചെങ്കിലും കൂട്ട് കബീർനോടായിരുന്നു. കബീർ പിന്നെ സംസാരിച്ചു ആളെ കയ്യിലെടുക്കാൻ മിടുക്കനാണ്.
വേറെ ആരോടും അങ്ങനെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നതോ ചിരിക്കുന്നതോ ഒന്നും പഠിക്കുന്നകാലത് കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല. എപ്പോഴും സീരിയസ് ആയിരിക്കും ഒരു പുസ്തക പുഴു. ആരെങ്കിലും ക്ലാസ്സിൽ ശബ്ധം ഉണ്ടാക്കിയാൽ ടീച്ചേഴ്സിനോട് കംപ്ലയിന്റ് ചെയ്ത് ഒരു നല്ലവനായ ഉണ്ണി ആയിരുന്നു അന്ന്. ഇന്നും വല്ല്യ മാറ്റൊന്നുല്ലെങ്കിലും എല്ലാരോടും വിശേഷോക്കെ തിരക്കി ചിരിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെ കണ്ടു.
അവന്റെ ആ നല്ല പിള്ള ജാഡ സ്വഭാവം കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ താനും അവനും ഒരു ഏരിയയിൽ നിൽക്കില്ലായിരുന്നു. എന്നും തമ്മിൽ അടിയാവും. ഡസ്റ്റർ ഏറിൽ അവന്റെ മേലെ അറിയാതെയൊന്ന് കൊണ്ടതിന് ചാക്കോ മാഷിനോട് പറഞ് തന്നെ ഒരു പീരിയഡ് മൊത്തിൽ ഒറ്റക്കാലിൽ നിർത്തിച്ചവനാ….” ആലോചിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോഴാണ് ഡോർ അടയുന്ന ശബ്ദം കേട്ടത്.
“പോവാം…!” സീറ്റ് ബെൽറ്റ് ഇടുന്നതിനിടക്ക് അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
ഷാനിന് ബൈപാസിൽന്ന് റൈറ്റ് അല്ലെ പോവാനുള്ളത്. സ്റ്റാൻഡ് ലെഫ്റ്റ് തിരഞ്ഞു റൈറ്റ് സൈഡിലാണ്. എന്നെ ബൈപാസിൽ ഇറക്കിയ മതി”.
“ഹോ… എന്റെ വഴിയൊക്കെ ഓർമയുണ്ടല്ലേ!?” ചെറിയൊരു പുഞ്ചിരിയോടെ അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു. “ആഹ്… സ്കൂൾബസിലാവുമ്പോ അവിടെ ഇറങ്ങുന്നത് കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ, ആ ഒരു ഓർമയിൽ…!”
“അതെ. ..തന്റെ ഓർമ ശെരിയാണ്
കുറച്ചു സമയം പിന്നെ മൗനം ആയിരുന്നു ഇരുവർക്കുമിടയിൽ. റോഡിലാണെങ്കിൽ ഭയങ്കര ബ്ലോക്കും ഉണ്ട്.
“റിൻഷി…കബീർ പറയാ പണ്ടത്തെ ഗോസിപ്പ് പോലെ നീ റിൻഷിനെ കെട്ടിക്കോ അവളുടെ കല്യാണം ഒന്നും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ലല്ലോന്ന്”. മൗനത്തെ ബേദിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് അവൻതന്നെയാണ് പറഞ്ഞുതുടങ്ങിയത്. ചുണ്ടിൽ ചെറിയൊരു പുഞ്ചിരിയും ഉണ്ട്.
അത് കേട്ടതും റിൻഷി ഞെട്ടി കൊണ്ട് അവനെ നോക്കി.
“എന്താടോ…!” അവളുടെ നോട്ടം കണ്ട് ചെക്കൻ ചോദിച്ചതും ഒന്നുമില്ലെന്ന് തലയാട്ടി അവളൊന്നു ചിരിച്ചു.
“എല്ലാർക്കും എന്റെ കല്യാണം കഴിയാഞ്ഞിട്ട് ഭയങ്കര സൂക്കേടുണ്ട്”. ചിരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ അവൾ മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു.
“പറയും പോലെ താൻ എന്താടോ കല്യാണം കഴിക്കാത്തെ?”
“ഹേയ്…ഒന്നുല്ല! ഞാൻ B.ed ചെയ്തോണ്ടിരിക്കായിരുന്നല്ലോ അത് കഴിഞ്ഞ് ഒന്ന് ഫ്രീ ആവണം വിചാരിച്ചു. പിന്നെ വീട്ടുകാർക്ക് അത്രക്ക് ദൃധി ഒന്നും ഇല്ലന്നെ. എനിക്ക് അത്ര പ്രായം ഒന്നും ആയില്ലല്ലോ”.
“ആഹാ…! പ്രായം ആയില്ലെന്നോ. കണ്ടാൽ ഒരു 30 പറയല്ലോ”.
“ഹേയ്…പോടാ…! എനിക്ക് 24 ആയുള്ളൂ”.
“ഹാ അതാണല്ലേ ഇത്ര ചെറിയ പ്രായം.!
എനിക്ക് 25 കഴിഞെന്നും പറഞ്ഞു വീട്ടിൽ ഉമ്മ തിരക്ക് കൂട്ടുന്നുണ്ട് ഒന്ന് പെണ്ണകെട്ടാൻ. ഒരു ആലോചന വന്നിട്ടുണ്ട് ഉപ്പ നെക്സ്റ്റ് month വരും. എന്നിട്ട് വേണം അതൊന്ന് ഉറപ്പിച്ചു പെണ്ണിനെ വീട്ടിലോട്ട്വിളിച്ചോണ്ട് വരാൻ”. അവൻ പറഞ്ഞത് കേട്ടപ്പോ എന്തിനോ ഒരു സങ്കടം തോന്നിയെങ്കിലും പെട്ടന്ന് തന്നെ അവനെ നോക്കി ചിരിച്ചെന്നുവരുത്തി.
“ആണോ…! അപ്പൊ പെണ്ണിനെ മുന്നേ പോയി കണ്ടതാണോ. ഉപ്പ വന്നിട്ട് തീരുമാനിക്കാൻ”.
“അതെ…! പെണ്ണിനെ ഞാൻ കുറെ മുന്നേ കണ്ടുവെച്ചതാ”.
“അതെയോ…! അപ്പൊ love മാര്യേജ് ആണല്ലേ, സ്കൂളൊക്കെ മാറി എംബിബിസൊക്കെ ആയപ്പോകും ഒരുപാട് മാറിയല്ലേ. ഞാൻ കരുതി അന്നത്തെ ആ ജാഡ സ്വഭാവം തന്നെ ആയിരിക്കും എന്ന്. എന്തായാലും ഒരു പെണ്ണിനെ വളച്ചല്ലോ. കാലം പോയ പോക്കേ”.
കിട്ടിയ അവസരം പെണ്ണ് ചെക്കനെ ഇട്ട് നന്നായിട്ടൊന്ന് വാരി.
“ഡി…ഡി…! മതിയാക്കെടി. മനുഷ്യൻ എന്നും ഒരുപോലെ ആവുമോ. .ആരാണ് ഒരു ചേഞ്ച് ആഗ്രഹിക്കാത്തെ”.
“എന്നാലും ഇങ്ങനൊക്കെ ചേഞ്ച് വരുവോ ന്റെ പടച്ചോനെ…!” അവനെ കളിയാക്കുന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിലും അവളുടെ ഉള്ളിൽ അവൾ പോലും അറിയാതെ ഒരു സങ്കടം തികട്ടി വരുന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
“ഞാൻ വളർന്നതും പഠിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നതൊക്കെ അങ്ങനൊരു സിറ്റുവേഷനിൽ അല്ലെ. അത്കൊണ്ട് പെട്ടന്നൊരു ചേഞ്ച് വന്നപ്പോ അക്സെപ്റ് ചെയ്യാൻ പറ്റാതായി. ഹയർ സെക്കന്ററി എത്തിയപ്പഴാ കേരള സ്കൂൾന്റെ വൈബ് ഒക്കെ ഒന്ന് ആസ്വദിച്ചത്. അത് ആസ്വദിച്ചപ്പോകും വീണ്ടും അതേപോലെ തന്നെ 6 വർഷങ്ങൾ. എന്നാലും മാക്സിമം എൻജോയ് ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.
എന്തായാലും തന്റെ കൂടെ ഉള്ള ഫ്രണ്ട്ഷിപ്പോക്കെ ഞാൻ ഇന്ന് മിസ്സ് ചെയ്യുന്നുണ്ട്. അന്ന് വെറുതെ എനിമീസ് ആയി. ഇപ്പൊ അതൊക്കെ ആലോചിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഒരു നഷ്ടബോധം ഉണ്ട്”.

Ofcourse…!” അവൾ ചോദിച്ചതിന് തലയാട്ടി ചിരിച് കൊണ്ട് അവൻ മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു.
“എന്നാ ശരി ഇറങ്ങട്ടെ, കാണാം..!”
കാറിന്റെ ഡോർ തുറന്നു യാത്ര പറഞ്ഞു കൊണ്ട് അവൾ പുറത്തേയ്ക്കിറങ്ങി.
“ഓക്കേ ഡോ..! ലേറ്റ് ആവണ്ട”. അവനും തിരിച്ചു യാത്രയാകി. അവൾ സ്റ്റാൻഡിനുള്ളിലേക്ക് കയറിപോവുന്നതും നോക്കി ഒരു പുഞ്ചിരിയോടെ അവൻ കാറിൽ ഇരുന്നു. കൺദൂരത്തുനിന്ന് അവൾ മറഞ്ഞതും അവനും തിരിച്ചുപോയി.
വീട്ടിൽ ചെന്ന് ഡ്രെസ്സൊക്കെ മാറി ഒന്ന് ഫ്രഷായ ശേഷം നിസ്കരിച്ച് പിന്നെ ബെഡിലേക്ക് ഒരൊറ്റ മറിച്ചിലായിരുന്നു ഫോണും കൊണ്ട്.
എല്ലാര്ടേം പുതിയ നമ്പറോക്കെ ആഡ് ചെയ്തു പുതിയൊരു ഗ്രൂപ്പ് creat ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. അതിൽ തുരുതുരാ ഇന്നത്തെ ഫോട്ടോസും വീഡിയോസൊക്കെ വന്നു കിടപ്പുണ്ട്. ഇനിപ്പോ 2 ദിവസത്തിന് ഗ്രൂപ്പിൽ അനക്കം ഇണ്ടാവും. അത് കഴിഞ്ഞ പിന്നെ പള്ളിക്കാട്ടിലേക്ക് സലാം പറഞ്ഞകണക്ക് ആവും.
ഫോട്ടോസും വീഡിയോസ് ഒക്കെ നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോഴാണ് unknowm നമ്പറിന്ന് ഒരു message വരുന്നത്. Dp എടുത്ത് നോക്കിയപ്പോ കണ്ടു അമുൽബേബി, മ്മളെ ഷാൻ. പക്ഷെ ഗ്രൂപ്പിലുള്ള നമ്പർ അല്ല. Uk നമ്പറാണ് കാണിക്കുന്നത്.

അവൾ തിരിച്ചു മെസ്സേജ് അയച്ചു.
“ഹാ…താൻ വീട്ടിൽ എത്തിയില്ലേ..!”
“ആഹ് ഞാൻ എത്തീട്ട് അരമണിക്കൂറായി. ഇത് വേറെ നമ്പറാണല്ലോ ഗ്രൂപിലുള്ളത് അല്ലല്ലോ?”
“അതെ… ഇത് എന്റെ UKലെ നമ്പറാ”.
“അതെലെ…!Ok”.
കുറച്ചു സമയത്തിന് പിന്നെ മെസ്സേജ് ഒന്നും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. അവൾ മെസ്സേജും പ്രതീക്ഷിച്ചു ഇടക്കിടക്ക് അവന്റെ കോൺടാക്ട് എടുത്ത് നോക്കുന്നും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഇപ്പുറം എന്ത് ചോദിക്കണം എന്നറിയാതെ അവനും ഓരോന്ന് ടൈപ്പ് ചെയ്തു വീണ്ടും ബാക്ക് അടിച്ചു കളിക്കായിരുന്നു. അവസാനം അവളുടെ സ്റ്റഡീസ്നെ കുറിച്ചന്നെ ചോധിക്കാന്ന് കരുതി.
“താൻ എന്താടോ B-ed കഴ്ഞ്ഞു പിന്നെ ജോബിനൊന്നും പോകാതെ…നോക്കീലേ?
“ഇല്ല, വീട്ടിൽ കുറച്ച് റസ്റ്റ് എടുക്കാന്ന് കരുതി ഒരു മൈൻഡ് ബ്രേക്ക്. പിന്നെ ചെറിയ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടർ കോഴ്സും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. Psc ട്രൈ ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. So,ജോബ് നോക്കീട്ടില്ല. In sha allah ഈ അക്കാഡമിക് ഇയർ നോക്കണം”.
“All the best,…keep it up” എന്ന് തിരിച്ചു മെസ്സേജും വന്നു.
“അതേയ്…ഷാന്റെ കല്യാണം ഉറപ്പിച്ച പെണ്ണിന്റെ ഫോട്ടോ ഉണ്ടോ? ഒന്ന് കാണാൻ!
വെറും അസൂയ!! അവന്റെ മനസ് കലക്കിയ ആ പെണ്ണ് ഏതാന്ന് അവൾക്ക് അറിയണമായിരുന്നു.
“എന്റെ പെണ്ണിന്റെ ഫോട്ടോ ഞാൻ ആർക്കും അങ്ങനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കൂല.കല്യാണത്തിന് വിളിക്കാം അപ്പൊ കണ്ടാമതി”. തിരിച്ചു അവിടുന്ന് റീപ്ലേയും വന്നു .
“ഓഹോ…! അപ്പൊ അമുൽബേബി ന്റെ ആ പഴയ സ്വഭാവം ഫുള്ളായിട്ട് മാറീട്ടില്ലല്ലേ. ഞാൻ വെറുതെ തെറ്റിദ്ധരിച്ചു”. മനസ്സിൽ അവന്റെ തന്തപിടിക്ക് ഒഴിച്ചു ബാക്കിയെല്ലാം വിളിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ഇത്ര മാത്രം അവൾ ടൈപ്പ് ചെയ്തു അയച്ചു.
അപ്പുറം മെസ്സജ് കണ്ട അവൻ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ മനസ്സറിഞ്ഞൊന്ന് ചിരിച്ചു. ഒപ്പം തന്നെ അവൾക്ക്. “ഡി…ഡി…ഉണ്ണിയാർച്ചെ…!!”
എന്ന് ടൈപ്പ് ചെയ്തു അയച്ചു. ആ message കണ്ട അവളിലും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു കുഞ്ഞൊരു പുഞ്ചിരി.
“അപ്പൊ ഈ പേരൊന്നും മറന്നിട്ടില്ലലേ..?”
“ഹേയ്…ഇല്ല, നീയല്ലേ ആദ്യം എന്നെ അമുൽബേബി എന്ന് വിളിച്ചേ, അപ്പൊ പിന്നെ ഈ ഉണ്ണിയാർച്ചയെ ഞാൻ മറക്കുമോ!! സ്വഭാവോം അതായിരുന്നല്ലോ!”
“ഓഹ്…പിന്നെ ഇയാൾ നല്ലൊരു ആൾ. അതൊക്കെ ഒരു കാലം ആയിരുന്നു”.
വീണ്ടും എന്തെക്കെയോ സംസാരിച്ചു അവരുടെ മെസ്സജ് നീണ്ടു പോയി.
ദിവസങ്ങളൊന്നും മാറ്റാമില്ലാതെ കടന്നുപോയി.
ഒരു ദിവസം രാത്രി എല്ലാരുംകൂടെ ഫുഡ് കഴിക്കാൻ ഇരിക്കുമ്പഴാണ് പുറത്ത് ഒരു കാളിങ് ബെൽ കേട്ടത്.
“ഞാൻ നോക്കാം ഉമ്മ…!” അതും പറഞ്ഞു റിച്ചു എണീറ്റ് ഡോറിന്റെ ഭാഗത്തേക്ക് പോയി.
പോയി മിനുട്ടുകൾ കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ട് ചെക്കനെ കാണാതെ വന്നതും ഉമ്മയും റിനുവും കൂടെ sitout ലക്ഷ്യം വെച്ചുപോയി.
“ആഹാ മുറ്റത്തൊരു മൈന… അല്ല മ്മളെ വാപ്പ!!”
റിച്ചു ഉപ്പാനെ കെട്ടിപിടിക്കലും ഉമ്മവെക്കലൊക്കെ ആണ്.
“ഉപ്പാ…!” റിനു ഓടിപ്പോയി ഉപ്പാനെ കേട്ടപ്പിടിച്ചു ഉപ്പ തിരിച്ചും. പിന്നീടാങ്ങോട്ട് വാപ്പന്റേം മക്കളുടേം സ്നേഹപ്രകടനം ആയിരുന്നു. അതൊക്കെ അപ്പുറം നോക്കി നിന്ന് പുഞ്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഉമ്മാനെ കൂടെ ഉപ്പ ചേർത്ത് നിർത്തി. ആഘോഷമായിരുന്നു ആ രാത്രി ഒരുമിച്ച് ഫുഡ് കഴിച്ചു വിശേഷോക്കെ പറഞ്ഞു ഉപ്പ കൊണ്ടോന്ന പെട്ടിയൊക്കെ പൊട്ടിച്ചു റിച്ചു ആയിട്ട് മിട്ടായിക്ക് തല്ലൊക്കെ പിടിച്ചു ആ രാത്രി ഉറങ്ങാതെ അവര് നേരം വെളുപ്പിച്ചു.
ദിവസങ്ങളും മാസങ്ങളും വീണ്ടും കടന്ന് പോയി. ഉപ്പ വന്നിട്ട് ഇപ്പൊ 1 അര മാസം കഴിഞ്ഞു. ഇതിന്റിടക്ക് റിച്ചുന്റെ കല്യാണം ഉറപ്പിച്ചു. പെണ്ണിനെ അവൻ ആദ്യമേ കണ്ടുവെച്ചതുകൊണ്ട് റിസ്ക് ഉണ്ടായില്ല. അവന്റെ കൂടെ തന്നെ വർക്ക് ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു കൊച്ചു സുന്ദരിപ്പെണ്ണ്. പേര് ഷഹാന, റിനുനോട് പറയാതെ പ്രേമിച്ചതിന് കുറച്ചുദിവസം മിണ്ടാതെ നടന്നെങ്കിലും ഉപ്പ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന മിട്ടായി ബാക്കി ഉള്ളത് കൊടുത്തു സോപ്പ് ഇട്ടപ്പോ പെണ്ണ് അങ്ങ് ഫ്ലാറ്റ് ആയി. എന്നിട്ട്…,
“താൽക്കാലത്തേക്ക് ഞാൻ ക്ഷമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു!”

“ഇനി കഥ ഞാൻ പറയാം…ഞാനെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞാൽ ഞാൻ തന്നെ, നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തം ‘റിനു’ , അതാണല്ലോ അതിന്റെ ഒരു ഇത്, ഏത്…അതന്നെ..! കാരണം ഇതെന്റെ കഥയാണല്ലോ..!”
ഉപ്പ ഇനി 2 മാസം കൂടെ കഴ്ഞ്ഞ തിരിച്ചുപോവും. അതിന്റെ മുന്നേ കാകുന്റെ നിക്കാഹ് നടത്തും കൂടെ നമ്മൾതും നടത്തും എന്നൊക്കെ പറയുന്നുണ്ട്, എന്താവുമോ എന്തോ..?

നിക്കാഹിന്റെ കാര്യം പറയുമ്പോ എന്തുകൊണ്ടോ ആ അമുൽബേബി നെയാണ് ഫസ്റ്റ് ഓർമ വരുന്നത്. അന്ന് കണ്ടാൽ കടിച്ചകീറുന്ന ആൾക്കാരാണെങ്കിലും എല്ലാവരും പറഞ്ഞു പറഞ്ഞു മനസ്സിന്റെ ഒരുകോണിൽ എപ്പോഴോ ഇഷ്ടം തോന്നിയിരുന്നു. പ്രായത്തിന്റെ ചോരത്തിളപ്പും അന്നത്തെ അവന്റെ ജാഡ വെച്ച് പല്ല് പോവും എന്നുള്ളത്കൊണ്ട് അന്നേ അത് മറവിക്ക് വിട്ട് കൊടുത്തതായിരുന്നു.
വർഷങ്ങൾക്കിപ്പുറം താൻ ഇന്ന് അവനെ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നുണ്ടോ എന്ന് തന്റെ മനസിനോട് ചോദിച്ചു നോക്കിയിട്ടും ഇനിപ്പോ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടും കാര്യമില്ല ആ പാലുംകുപ്പി വേറൊരു പൂച്ച മുന്നേ തട്ടി മറിച്ചു മോളെ റിനു… എന്നാണ് ബ്ലഡി മനസ് ഉത്തരം തരുന്നത്. പുല്ല്..! ലോകത്ത് വേറെ ചെക്കന്മാരൊന്നും ഇല്ലാത്ത പോലെ പിന്നേം മനസ്സ് പോണത് ആ പാലും കുപ്പിക്കടുത്തന്നെ.
രണ്ട് ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞ് രാവിലെ ഉണരുന്നത് ഉമ്മാന്റെ അടുക്കളയിലുള്ള ബഹളം കേട്ടകൊണ്ടാണ്. എഴുനേറ്റിരുന്നപ്പോഴാണ് ഓർമ, ഇന്ന് ഉപ്പാന്റെ കൂടെ കമ്പനിയിൽ വർക്ക് ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു ഫ്രണ്ട് വരുന്നുണ്ടെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. കൂടെ അവരുടെ ഫാമിലിയും. ഒരു മകനും മകളും വൈഫും ആണത്രേ. മോൾടെ കല്യാനൊക്കെ കഴിഞ്ഞു ഇനിപ്പോ മോന്റെ കല്യാണം ഉണ്ട് അതിന് ക്ഷണിക്കാൻ കൂടെ ആണ് വരുന്നത്.
അതികം സമയം കളയാതെ പെട്ടന്ന് തന്നെ ഫ്രഷായി നിസ്കരിച്ചു നേരെ അടുക്കളയിലേക്ക് പോയി.
അടുക്കളയിൽ ചെന്നപ്പോ ഉമ്മ കാര്യം ആയ പണിയിലാണ്. ഉപ്പയും ഉണ്ട് സഹായത്തിനു. കാകു പിന്നെ എണീറ്റിട്ടെ ഇല്ല.
“ആഹ്…റിനു ഇയ്യ് എണീറ്റോ…?വേഗം ആ ചായേം കടിയൊക്കെ എടുത്തു കുടിച് അകം പുറം ഒക്കെ ക്ലീൻ ആക്കി ഇഡ്. റൂമിൽ ഷീറ്റൊക്കെ മാറ്റി നല്ലത് എടുത്ത് വിരിക്ക്”. ഇത് പിന്നെ ഉമ്മാന്റെ സ്ഥിരം പാരിബാടിയാ ആരെങ്കിലും വരുന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ വീട് എടുത്തു തിരിച്ചു വെക്കണം. കുക്കിംഗ് പിന്നെ നമ്മളെ ഏരിയ അല്ലാത്തോണ്ട് അതിൽ കൈകടത്താൻ ഉമ്മ സമ്മതിക്കൂല. ക്ലീനിങ് പിന്നെ ചെയ്തില്ലെങ്കിൽ ഉമ്മ പട്ടിണിക്കിടും എന്നുള്ളത്കൊണ്ട് മാത്രം ചെയ്യും.
വേഗം തന്നെ ചായ കുടിച്ചു പണികളൊക്കെ തുടങ്ങി. ആദ്യം തന്നെ മുറ്റമൊക്കെ അടിച്ചുവാരി വൃത്തിയാക്കി പിന്നെ അകവും അടിച്ചു തൊടച്ചു വൃത്തിയാക്കി അപ്പോഴേക്കും ഉമ്മാന്റെ പണികളും കഴിഞ്ഞ് പിന്നെ രണ്ട് പേരും കൂടെ കിച്ചനും വേഗത്തിൽ തന്നെ ക്ലീൻ ആക്കി.
“ഇനി മതി റിനു…! നീ പോയി കുളിച് നല്ലൊരു ഡ്രെസ്സൊക്കെ എടുത്തിട്. അവരൊക്കെ 12 മണി ആകുമ്പഴേക്ക് എത്തും”.
“ഏഹ്…! അതിന് ഞാൻ എന്തിനാ കുളിക്കുന്നെ. ഞാൻ ഇന്നലെ തല നനച്ചു കുളിച്ചതാ.ഇന്ന് മേൽ നനക്കൊള്ളും”
“അതൊന്നും പറ്റൂല ഇന്ന് മര്യാദക്ക് തല നനച്ചു കുളിച് ഒരു വൃത്തിയും മെനയിലൊക്കെ നിക്ക്. പോർത്തൂന്ന് നാല് ആൾക്കാർ വരുന്നതാ..”
“ആ വരുന്ന നാല് പേര് എന്നെ പെണ്ണ് കാണാനൊന്നും അല്ലല്ലോ വരുന്നേ. അപ്പൊ പിന്നെ ഇങ്ങനൊക്കെ മതി”. അവൾ ഉമ്മാനോട് തിരിച്ചു മറുപടിയും പറഞ്ഞു.
“പെണ്ണെ…എന്റെ കയ്യിന്ന് നല്ലത് വാങ്ങിക്കും നീ.!”
“ആഹ്…മതി മതി!! തള്ളേം മോളും കൂടെ തല്ല്. റിനു നീ കുളിച്ചില്ലെങ്കിലും നല്ലൊരു ഡ്രസ്സ് ചുരിദാറോ എന്തെങ്കിലും ഇഡ്. ഈ കയ്യില്ലാത്ത ബനിയനും ഇട്ട് അവരടെ മുന്നിൽ നിൽക്കാൻ പറ്റൂല”.
തീർപ്പ് പോലെ ഉപ്പ പറഞ്ഞതും പിന്നെ ഒന്നും പറയാൻ നിക്കാതെ റൂം ലക്ഷ്യം വെച്ച് നടന്നിരുന്നു. പോകുന്ന പോക്കിൽ ഇതൊക്കെ കണ്ടുംകേട്ടും അവിടെ ഇരുന്ന് കിണിക്കുന്ന കാകുനെ കകയ്യിൽ കിട്ടിയ ഒരു ചെറുനാരങ്ങ എടുത്ത് എറിയാനും മറന്നില്ല.
മേൽ മാത്രം ഒന്ന് കഴുകി ഉപ്പ പറഞ്ഞപോലെ ഒരു yellow and റെഡ് combo വരുന്ന ഒരു ചുരിദാർ എടുത്തിട്ടു. മുടി സാദാരണ പോലെ തന്നെ സൈഡ് എടുത്ത് ഒന്ന് ഒതുക്കി ഒരു ക്ലിപ്പ് വെച്ച് കുത്തി. തലയിൽ ഒരു ഷാളും ഇട്ട് പുറത്തേയ്ക്കിറങ്ങി. ഉമ്മാന്റെ പണിയൊക്കെ അപ്പഴേക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞ് കുളിക്കാൻ കയറിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
ഉമ്മ ഒരുക്കി വെച്ച ഓരോരോ പാത്രങ്ങളായിട്ട് തുറന്നു നോക്കി.
“Wowww…!” ചിക്കൻ ബിരിയാണി, മട്ടൺ മന്തി, ബീഫ് റോസ്റ്റ്, ചിക്കൻ ഫ്രൈ പിന്നെ സ്വീറ്റ് ഐറ്റംസ് വേറെയും.
“ഹോ ഈ ഉമ്മാനെ സമ്മതിക്കണം!! ഈ സമയം കൊണ്ട് ഇത്രേം വിഭവങ്ങൾ. പാവം ഇന്ന് നേരത്തെ എഴുന്നേറ്റിട്ടുണ്ടാവും”
ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാനില്ലാതെ വെറുതെ ബോർ അടിച്ചു ഇരുന്നപ്പോഴാണ് ഫോൺ എടുത്ത് നോക്കിയത്.

“ഹായ്..! റിൻഷി, ന്റെ മാര്യേജ് ഉറപ്പിക്കാൻ പോവാട്ടോ ഇന്ന്. കാത്തിരുന്നു ഇരുന്ന് ഇന്നാണ് അത്. ഫോട്ടോസ് ഞാൻ അയക്കാട്ടോ”
എന്തിനോ ഒരു സങ്കടം തോന്നിയെങ്കിലും
“ok..all the best!!” എന്ന് തിരിച്ചു റിപ്ലേ ചെയ്തു.
ആ സമയം തന്നെയാണ് മുറ്റത്തൊരു വണ്ടിയുടെ ശബ്ദം കേട്ടത്. വിരുന്നുകാരവും എന്ന് അറിയാവുന്നത് കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ ഫോൺ അവിടെ വെച്ച് വന്നവരെ ക്ഷണിക്കാൻ ആയി ഹാളിലേക്ക് പോവുമ്പോയാണ്…,
“നീ എങ്ങോട്ടാ..?” കാകു ആണ്
“അവരൊക്കെ വന്നു, പോയിനോക്കട്ടെ കാകു ഇല്ലേ..!?”
“ഞാൻ പൊയ്ക്കോളാം… നീ ഉപ്പ വിളിക്കുമ്പോ വന്ന മതി” എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു അവൻ ഒറ്റ പോക്ക്.
ഇതിപ്പോ എന്താ കഥാ എന്നാ മട്ടിൽ ഞാനും. “ഹാ എന്തെങ്കിലും ആവട്ട്ടെ!” എന്ന് വിചാരിച്ചു നേരെ അടുക്കളയിലേക്ക് തന്നെ നടന്നു.

കുറച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോ ഉണ്ട് ഏകദേശം ഉമ്മാന്റെ അതെ പ്രായത്തിൽ ഒരു സ്ത്രീയും കൂടെ ഏകദേശം 27,28 പ്രായം തോന്നിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ഇത്തയും ഉമ്മാന്റെ കൂടെ വരുന്നു. ഉമ്മ അവരോട് വിശേഷോക്കെ തിരക്കി സംസാരിച്ചാണ് വരവ്.
അവരെ കണ്ടപ്പഴേ തോന്നി ഉപ്പാന്റെ ഫ്രണ്ടിന്റെ ഭാര്യയും മകളും ആണെന്ന്.
“ആഹ്…ഇതാണല്ലേ മോൾ” ആ ഉമ്മ നമ്മളെ കണ്ടപാടേ ചോദിച്ചു.
“അതെ” എന്ന് മറുപടി പറയുന്നതിനോടൊപ്പം തന്നെ ചെയർ വലിച്ചിട്ടു അവരോട് ഇരിക്കാൻ പറയുകയും ചെയ്തു. അവര് രണ്ട് പേരും എന്നേ തന്നെ കണ്ണെടുക്കാതെ നോക്കി ഓരോന്നു സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ഉമ്മ അവർക്കുള്ള ഡ്രിങ്ക്സ് എടുക്കുന്ന തിരക്കിലാണ്.
“മാമി…!” പെട്ടന്നൊരു കുഞ്ഞു ശബ്ദം കേട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞുനോക്കിയപ്പോൾ കണ്ടു വെളുത്തു തുടുത്ത ഒരു കുഞ്ഞു സുന്ദരിപ്പെണ്ണ്. പുഴുപല്ലും കാട്ടി ചിരിച്ചു നില്കുന്നു. “എന്നാലും ഇപ്പൊ ആരാണ് ഈ മ്യാമി” എന്ന് മനസ്സിൽ ചിന്തിച്ചാപ്പഴേക്കും ഇത്തയുടെ മറുപടി വന്നു.
“എന്റെ മോളാ… lkg ൽ പഠിക്ക. എന്റെ ബ്രദർ നിക്കാഹ് ചെയ്യുന്ന പെണ്ണിനെ മാമിന്ന് വിളിക്കണം എന്ന് അവനാ പറഞ്ഞു പഠിപ്പിച്ചത്. അതുകൊണ്ട് ആ പ്രായത്തിലുള്ള ആരെ കണ്ടാലും അവളിപ്പോ മാമി എന്നാ വിളിക്ക” ചിരിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഇത്ത പറഞ്ഞവസാനിപ്പിച്ചു.
ഞാനും ആ കുഞ്ഞിപ്പെണ്ണിനെ നോക്കി കണ്ണടച്ച് ഒന്ന് ചിരിച്ചു കാണിച്ചു.
“റിനു…! കാകുനെ വിളിച്ചു ഈ ജ്യൂസ് അവർക്ക് കൊടുക്കാൻ പറയ്”
“അതിനെന്താ അത് അവൾ കൊടുത്തോട്ടെ. ഉപ്പനേം ന്റെ അനിയനൊക്കേ പരിചയപ്പെടണ്ടേ.
ഇയാൾ വാടോ ഞാനും കൂടെ വരാം” ഉമ്മ പറഞ്ഞു തീരുന്ന മുന്നേ അതും പറഞ്ഞു ഇത്ത ചെയറിൽ നിന്നും എണീറ്റു.
“അത്…ഇത്താ….ഞാൻ!”
“ഹാ…താൻ വാടോ..!!” ഉമ്മാന്റെ കയ്യിന്നു ജ്യൂസ് ട്രേ വാങ്ങി മ്മളെ കയ്യിൽ തന്നുകൊണ്ട് മൂപ്പത്തി മുന്നേ നടന്നു. വാൽപോലെ ഞാനും.
“എന്റെ പേര് ജസ്ലിൻ ജസ്ലിന്ന് വിളിക്കും” ജ്യൂസ് ആയിട്ട് പോകും വഴി ഇത്ത ഓരോന്നു സംസാരിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ഹാളിലെത്തിയപ്പോ തന്നെ കണ്ടു വൈറ്റ് ഷർട്ടും പാന്റും ഒക്കെ ഇട്ട് ഒരു gentleman ലുക്കിൽ ഏകദേശം ഉപ്പാന്റെ അതെ പ്രായത്തിലുള്ള ഒരാൾ. കൂടെ മോൻ ആണെന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു. അങ്ങോട്ട് തിരഞ്ഞിരുന്ന് കാകുനോട് ഭയങ്കര സംസാരത്തിലാണ്.
“വാപ്പച്ചി ..!” ജസ്ലി വിളിച്ചതും സംസാരത്തിലായിരുന്നവർ ഒരുമിച്ചു തിരിഞ്ഞ് നോക്കി.
“ഹ…ഇതാണ് ന്റെ മോൾ റിൻഷി ഞങ്ങളെ റിനു” ഉപ്പ പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തിയപ്പോ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ നോക്കി ഒന്ന് പുഞ്ചിരിക്കാൻ മറന്നില്ല. “മോനെ…! ഷാനു…” എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം വിളിച്ചപ്പോഴാണ് അപ്പുറത്തിരിക്കുന്ന ചെറുപ്പക്കാരനെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചത്.
ദാ പറക്കുന്നു… കിളികൾ ഒന്നടങ്കം കൂടും കുടുക്കയും എടുത്ത്. തന്റെ കിളിപ്പോയ നിൽപ്പ് കണ്ടിട്ട് എല്ലാരുടേ മുഖത്തും ചിരിയാണ്.
“മോളേ….ജ്യൂസ് കൊടുക്ക്!”
ഉപ്പ പറഞ്ഞപ്പോഴാണ് പിന്നെ സ്വബോധം വന്നത്. “ഏഹ്…ആഹ്. .!” പെട്ടന്ന് തന്നെ ഉപ്പാന്റെ ഫ്രണ്ടിന് നേരെ ജ്യൂസ് ഗ്ലാസ് നീട്ടി.
“ഏയ്…എനിക്കല്ല മോളേ നിന്റെ ഈ അമുൽബേബിക്ക് കൊടുക്ക് ആദ്യം, അവനാ നിന്നെ പെണ്ണ് കാണാൻ വന്നത്!!”
ദേ പറക്കുന്നു പിന്നേം എന്റെ കിളികൾ. ഇതിന് മാത്രം കിളികൾ എവിടുന്നോ എന്തോ. ഇതൊക്കെ തലയിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത് തന്നെ ആണോ. പണ്ടൊക്കെ നോക്കുമ്പോ പേൻ മാത്രേ കാണു..!!
പറഞ്ഞത് മുഴുവൻ മനസ്സിലായില്ലെങ്കിലും ആലോചിച്ചു സമയം കളയാതെ അവന് നേരെ ട്രേ നീട്ടി. ചെക്കന് അതിന്ന് ഒരു ഗ്ലാസ്സെടുത്തുകൊണ്ട് ഒന്ന് കണ്ണ് ചിമ്മി ചിരിച്ചു. തെണ്ടി…! ആ ട്രേ കൊണ്ട് തലമണ്ടക്കിട്ട് ഒന്ന് കൊടുക്കാനാ തോന്നിയത്!!
ശേഷം അവന്റെ ഉപ്പക്കും ജ്യൂസ് കൊടുത്തു. കാകുനും ഉപ്പാക്കും കൂടെ ഓരോ ഗ്ലാസ് കൊടുത്ത് ശേഷം തിരിഞ്ഞ് പോവാൻ നിന്നതും ജസ്ലി പിടിച്ചു നിർത്തി കയ്യിലുള്ള ട്രെ വാങ്ങിച്ചു.
“അതെ…ഷാനു! എന്താ സംസാരിക്കാനുള്ളതെന്ന് വെച്ചാ രണ്ടാളും ആയിക്കോ” ജസ്ലി പറഞ്ഞു നിർത്തിയതും അപ്പോഴേക്കും 2 ഉമ്മമാരും കൂടെ അവിടെ എത്തിയിരുന്നു.
“ചെല്ല് മോളേ..! ” എന്ന് ഉപ്പാന്റെ ഓർഡർ വന്നതും കാകുനെ ഒന്ന് നോക്കി. അവൻ കണ്ണ് ചിമ്മി ഒരു തമ്പ്സ് അപ്പ് കാണിച്ചതും മെല്ലെ എന്റെ റൂം ലക്ഷ്യം വെച്ച് നടന്നു.
പിന്നാലെ തന്നെ ഷാനും.
“അളിയാ…. ന്റെ പെങ്ങളായോണ്ട് പറയല്ല. ചിലപ്പോ തലമണ്ട പൊളിക്കാനുള്ള ചാൻസ് ഉണ്ടാവും ഈ നാടകത്തിന്. So , be careful..!” തിരിഞ്ഞ് നടക്കാൻ നേരം ഷാനുന്റെ ചെവിയിൽ പറഞ്ഞു റിച്ചു. അതിന് അവൻ ഒന്ന് ചിരിച്ചതേയുള്ളു.
“റിൻഷി…!” റൂമിലെ നിശബ്ദദ്ധാക്കൊടുവിൽ ഷാനുവാണ് സംസാരിച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയത്.
“ഒരേ ഒരു ചോദ്യം..?” അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു തീരുന്ന മുന്നേ അവനു നേരെ തിരിഞ്ഞു നിന്നുകൊണ്ട് തിരിച്ചങ്ങും ചോദിച്ചു. “എന്താ ഇതൊക്കെ?”
“ഏതൊക്കെ?”
ഒന്നും അറിയാത്തപോലെ ഷാൻ ചോദിച്ചു.
“കളിക്കല്ലേ ഷാൻ, കുറച്ചു മുന്നേ എന്താ നടന്നത്!?”
ഇതൊന്നും തന്നോട് പറയാത്ത സങ്കടമോ അതോഷാനെ നേരിട്ട് കണ്ട് പെണ്ണ് കാണാലാണെന്നൊക്കെ പറഞ്ഞ സന്തോഷമോ എന്തോ എല്ലാംകൂടെ ഭ്രാന്തെടുക്കുന്ന അവസ്ഥയായിരുന്നു.
“അതോ, so simple! എന്റേം നിന്റെം പെണ്ണ് കാണൽ, കുറച്ചു സമയം കഴിഞ്ഞാ കല്യാണവും ഉറപ്പിക്കും.”
അത് കേട്ടതും ഒന്ന് ഞെട്ടാതിരുന്നില്ല.

“ഏഹ്..എന്താ പറഞ്ഞേ? പെണ്ണ് കാണൽ കല്യാണം..!!”
“ആഹ്…എന്താ കേട്ടിട്ടില്ലേ അതൊന്നും! ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞതല്ലേ ഞാൻ കണ്ടുവെച്ചൊരു പെണ്ണിനെ കല്യാണം ഉറപ്പിക്കുന്നുവെന്ന്. അതാണ് ഇപ്പൊ ഇവിടെ നടക്കുന്നത്. ഞാൻ കുറെ കലാമായിട്ട് മനസ്സിൽ കൊണ്ട് നടക്കുന്ന പെണ്ണിനെ കാണാനാ ഇപ്പൊ വന്നത്.”
ഷാൻ അത് പറഞ്ഞതും വീണ്ടും ഒന്ന് ശക്തമായി ഞെട്ടി. സങ്കടവും സന്തോഷവും കൂടി കലർന്ന ഒരു തുള്ളി കണ്ണുനീര് അപ്പഴേക്കും കവിളിനെ നനയിച്ചിരുന്നു.
“എന്താ…എന്തു പറ്റി റിൻഷി! എന്താ പെട്ടന്ന് കണ്ണ് നിറഞ്ഞെ..?”
“ഹേയ്…ഒന്നുമില്ല”
അടുത്തേക്ക് വന്നു അവൻ ചോദിക്കുമ്പോ കണ്ണ് തുടച്ചുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു.
“റിൻഷി…!” നന്നേ നേർന്നു പോയിരുന്നു അവന്റെ സ്വരം. മുഖം കുനിച്ചു നിൽക്കുന്നവളുടെ താടിത്തുമ്പിൽ പിടിച്ചു അവന് നേരെ ഉയർത്തി. അവളുടെ കണ്ണിൽ ഇപ്പോഴും ഉണ്ട് ഒരു നീർതിളക്കം.
“എന്താടോ താൻ ഒന്നും പറയാത്തെ? ഏഹ്… എന്നെ ഇഷ്ടമല്ലേ നിനക്ക്, എന്തെങ്കിലൊന്ന് പറയ്!!”
അവന്റെ സ്വരവും ഇടറിപോവുന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
“ഞാൻ… എ…എനിക്ക്…” എന്തൊക്കെയോ പറയാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നുണ്ട് പക്ഷെ വാക്കുകൾക്കൊക്കെ ക്ഷാമം വന്നപോലെ.
“ഹേയ്… relax റിൻഷി!
എന്നെ ഇഷ്ടാണോ അല്ലയോ? അതിന് മാത്രം എനിക്ക് ഉത്തരം മതി! പറ എന്നെ ഇഷ്ടല്ലേ റിൻഷിക്ക്.” അവളുടെ ഇരുത്തോളിലും പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു മുഖത്തേക്ക് ഉറ്റുനോക്കി കൊണ്ടാണ് അവന്റെ ചോദ്യം.
“പറ റിൻഷി ഇഷ്ടല്ലേ എന്നെ.അതോ നിനക്ക് പണ്ടത്തെ പോലെ വെറുപ്പാ….”
അവന് ചോദിച്ചു തീരുന്നതിനു മുന്നേ തന്നെ അവൾ കയ്യെത്തിച്ചു അവന്റെ വായമൂടി കൊണ്ട് അല്ല അന്ന അർത്ഥത്തിൽ തലയാട്ടി.
“പിന്നേ…ഇഷ്ടാണോ!?” കണ്ണ് വിടർത്തികൊണ്ട് അവന് ചോദിച്ചതിന് അതെ എന്ന രീതിയിൽ അവളും തല ചലിപ്പിച്ചു.
“ഞാൻ… ഞാനൊന്ന് കെട്ടിപിടിച്ചോട്ടെ റിൻഷി!?”
സന്തോഷത്തോടെ കണ്ണ് നിറച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ചോദിക്കുമ്പോ അവന്റെ വാക്കുകളും മുറിഞ്ഞുപോവുന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
“അയ്യടാ…! ഇഷ്ടാന്ന് പറഞ്ഞെന്ന് കരുതി അപ്പോത്തിനും ഒട്ടാൻ വരല്ലേ.” ബാകിലോട്ട് കുറച്ചു നീങ്ങി കൊണ്ടാണ് അവളുടെ പറച്ചിൽ. ചുണ്ടിൽ ഒരു ചെറു ചിരിയും ഉണ്ട്.

“തേർഡ് ഇയറിലാണ് ഒരു ലീവിന് ഉപ്പാന്റെടത് ദുബായിൽ പോയത്. ആ സമയം വീട്ടില് കമ്പനി ആവിശ്യത്തിനായി ഉപ്പാന്റെ ഒരു സ്റ്റാഫ് വന്നിരുന്നു. വീട്ടിലേക്ക് ആരെങ്കിലും വന്നാൽ അവരെ സൽക്കാരിക്കാതെ വിടുന്ന സ്വഭാവം ഉപ്പാക്കില്ലാത്തതുകൊണ്ട് അവരെ പിടിച്ചിരുത്തി സൽക്കരിക്കുന്ന ഇടയിൽ എപ്പോഴോ ആദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഫാമിലിയേയും കൂട്ടത്തിൽ അവരുടെ വായാടി മകളെയൊക്കെ കുറിച്ച് പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. സ്നേഹ സംഭാക്ഷണത്തിനിടയിൽ അദ്ദേഹം ഫാമിലി ഫോട്ടോയും കാണിച്ചു. അന്നാണ് ഞാൻ പിന്നെ എന്റെ ഉണ്ണിയാർച്ചയെ കണ്ടത്.” പറഞ്ഞുനിർത്തികൊണ്ട് അവന് അവളുടെ മുഖത്തേക്ക് നോക്കി.

“അന്ന് നീ ഡിഗ്രി ഫൈനൽ ഇയർ ആണെന്നും പിജി ചെയ്ത് B.ed എടുക്കാനാണ് നിനക്ക് താല്പര്യം എന്നൊക്കെ ഉപ്പ പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. കൂട്ടത്തിൽ കല്യാണ കാര്യങ്ങളും സംസാരിച്ചപ്പോൾ നീ അപ്പൊ അങ്ങനെ വേറെ ആരെയും കെട്ടി സുഖിക്കണ്ടാന്ന് കരുതിയാണ് അന്നന്നെ ഞാൻ ഉപ്പാനോട് ഈ ഉണ്ണിയാർച്ചയെ എനിക്കറിയാമെന്നും എനിക്കിഷ്ടാണെന്നും ഞാൻ മഹർ ചാർത്തി കൂടെകൂട്ടികൊള്ളാം എന്നും പറഞ്ഞത്. പിന്നീട് അങ്ങോട്ട് ഇവിടെ വരെയുള്ളതൊക്കെ നമ്മുടെ തന്തപിടികളുടെ കളിയാ. നിന്റെ ഉമ്മയും കക്കൂവൊക്കെ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ട് കൊറച്ചേ ആയിട്ടുണ്ടാവൊള്ളൂ. “എന്നാ നമുക്ക് പുറത്തേക്കിറങ്ങിയാലോ?” കുറച്ചു സമയത്തെ മൗനത്തിനു ശേഷം അവന് തന്നെയാണ് ചോദിച്ചത്. തലകുലുക്കി അവളും സമ്മതമറിയിക്കുമ്പോ അവന് തിരിഞ്ഞ് നടക്കാനൊരുങ്ങിയിരുന്നു.
“അതേയ്…അമുൽബേബി..!!”
തിരിഞ്ഞ് രണ്ടടി വെച്ചതും പിന്നിൽ നിന്ന് അവൾ വിളിച്ചു.
ചിരിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ അവൻ തിരിഞ്ഞുനോക്കി.
